Ella Gilling

Ella Gilling trained at Italia Conti for 8 years in Musical Theatre. During this time she competed on Sky One’s ‘Got to Dance’ and at 12 reached the semi-finals with her own choreography.

Ella was a featured character on CBBC’s ‘School for Stars’, a ghost singer in the film ‘Molly Moon’ and in 2015/16 she appeared as a main character ‘Ella’ in seasons 3 and 4 of the BAFTA award-winning series ‘The Next Step’, a Canadian reality-style teen drama. Ella subsequently appeared in CBBC’s ‘The Ultimate Brain’, ‘Hackers Crackers’ and ‘Oops I Missed The Bus’.

On graduating from Italia Conti Ella assisted with the choreography in ‘Tiger Bay’ a musical at Cardiff Millennium Centre alongside Melody Squire. She has toured in pantomimes such as Sleeping Beauty with Enchanted Entertainment, playing Princess Tamara, and in 2019 played Snow White for the Exeter Corn Exchange.

Ella has been in several short films including ‘Mind=full’ directed by Sarah Day, which was nominated for the Research Film Awards. She choreographed and performed in a music video for artist Dodie and short music videos for Comedy Central.

Ella regularly works with multiple charities and raises money doing what she loves most – dancing.
